Greetings to all sinners! Ancient Beast 🐺 is the first project to get accepted in the first cohort of a state-of-the-art accelerator called q/acc, even though I've applied after the deadline and we already have a token, XatteR. This is a great opportunity, as it will allow us to have more resources at our disposal, like marketing, networking, partners and even a bit of funding, which can go a long way for us, hopefully managing to fix some of the current project bottlenecks and increase monthly income.
I've had to do quite a few audio and/or video talks about the project so far, to varying number of people. And more will follow! You can hear the me presenting the project in this X Space. It was also great finding out more about the 7 other projects that were carefully selected for the accelerator from a few hundred aplications, as most of them are quite something, able to have a huge impact over humanity.
One of the conditions of the accelerator was to create a new token on Polygon zkEVM, which is a sidechain scaling solution that complements the Ethereum blockchain. I didn't wanted to kill the current token, XatteR, as a lot of time and work was already invested into it, it has a few hundred holders already and several exchange listings, so I've found a way to make things work in the favor of the project: since every tech is different and has pros and cons, I would have the tokens be complementary by having each one focus on different areas where they would perform better based on the pros, with only a bit of overlap ☯️.
XatteR, with a total supply of 10 million tokens and ultra cheap gas fees, will primary used as a marketing tool, lower value project bounties and most importantly, as a replacement for in-game Plasma for online multiplayer matches that need to be secured. Token will overall be rather cheap, mineable and partially recycled if needed. You can read more about it in the wiki.
BEAST token will have about 6 million tokens minted (lower supply), but higher gas fee, as it resides on way more popular blockchain. It will be more stable value wise, so it's the recommended token for investors. It will be used for accesing extra game modes that involve tokenomics, purchasing digital and physical merchandise and for higher level project bounties. You'll be able to read more about it in the wiki given time.
Amazing opportunity! You'll be able to mint the new BEAST token at a very advantageous ratio during the public round taking place between 6 until 20 December. The newly minted tokens have all sorts of safety mechanisms in place against rug-pulls, sybling attacks, whales and a lot of other stuff. The locking is way bigger for the projects and there's also a liquidity pool provided straight up, so if needed, you'll be able to cash-out as the tokens unlock without taking a loss.
Requirements: you need to be over 18, undergo a bit of KYC (two options available) and not be from USA, UK plus a few other handful of countries that are restricted, though if you're "donating" under $1000 worth of POL, you can bypass the country restriction at your own risk! VPNs FTW! For this first option, you can aim for at least 15 points within passport.xyz, which is quite nice and useful, or for larger amounts (over $1000, up to $15000), you can go for Privado.id, though this one requires a scan of your id and can take a day or two. Crypto: you will also need to have some ETH and POL on Polygon zkEVM, there's a nice easy to use widget for you to easily bridge and swap tokens if needed and you can also check out this very handy guide over here.
Also keep in mind that the first cohort is formed of 8 projects, so perhaps some of the other ones will peek your interest as well, just don't forget about us while checking all those other projects out 😉
